INGREDIENTS
1 cup oats*
¼ cup dhuli urad dal or ¼ cup urad dal powder
1½ cups water (approx.)
½ tsp salt
FILLING
2 cups boiled peas
½ tsp rai (brown mustard seeds), ½ tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
½ tsp salt and red chilli powder, or to taste
HOW TO COOK?
For the filling, heat a nonstick pan. Put rai, and jeera. When it crackles, add peas, salt and red chilli powder. Stir fry for 2 minutes. Keep the filling aside.
Grind oats* and urad dal separately in a mixer to a powder. You can use readymade urad dal powder too.
Combine oats* powder, dal powder and salt. Put enough water to make a batter of thin pouring consistency.
Heat a pan. Put oil and wipe it off. Remove from fire. Take a ladle full of batter and spread from inside to outside.
Return to fire. When the edges turn brown, loosen the sides with a flat spoon.
Put some filling. Fold over. Serve with oat chutney.
